1. KISSMET IN GENERAL
Kissmet is a very much laid back, “free style” kind of server, based on a social foundation. Roleplay is encouraged and pretty much widespread, but still not demanded nor enforced. Players of all kinds of styles and inclinations make Kissmet their online home.
Kissmet is an adult themed module 18 yrs old+ and contain both actions, language and Characters of a sexually oriented nature. No one under the age of 18 is allowed to play on the server. Do also keep in mind the concepts of Safe, Sane, and Consensual (SSC) at all times. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure all behavior meets SSC standards. The server management would also like to advice that what happens online, stays online. Neither the Administrator of the module/ server, nor its DMs will take any responsibility for whatever might happen to you, should you decide to take take things outside the confines of the imaginary world which Kissmet represents.

Must be a member of the forum to get hak paks.

If you find that you cannot connect and getting a banned message and kicking you out of game, it is mostly due to you having a GoG "generic" cdkey. When you buy from GoG, they give you this cdkey and you should contact them about a new one.
If you still keep getting kicked, it could mean you are using an account name already taken. Try something different.
We are using a database that is set up with this security system that logs your account name to your cdkey to the computer that is using it.

3. Rules, regulations and DMs
Races (what can I play, any special requirements/ rules/ stats for certain races?) Since Kissmet is a social and a quite free-form place, there are a lot of different races around (both standard ones, as well as more “advanced” versions) but no set rules for playing them. Some characters have even been “invented” by their players, with custom sets of powers and abilities which are Roleplayed. Just bear in mind you are never allowed to force your roleplay upon others. Always ask a “target” of your own invented abilities/ powers if it is okay with them, OOCly first. If you receive a “no”, then respect it.
SERVER RULES
Please note what is NOT a rule. (DM's pay attention here)
A - Passing others is not forbidden, be courteous, especially if they are lower level and you spawn critters.
B - Running thru an area not killing spawns. (see A)
C- Not collecting treasure drop
---- Reasons for above NON-rules - it is not required to keep track of where other players are to move thru areas and nearly every area has a cleaning script. Five minutes from the last player leaving a hunting area the script will dispose of all things left behind, immediate in non-hunting areas. It is better to clean up after yourself but not required.
0) ONE HOUSE PER PLAYER !! No one will own more than one house. Its just not fair to other players !!! If found, both house will be taken away and if home was a remodel, then it will go back to being generic.
1) Players may copulate anywhere they'd like however: a) only using whisper in the Center or if asked by other players b.) no using the Love or Joyous wands in the Center
2) No attacking by any means or annoying others with spells in the Center (ex. darkness) including area of effect spells You may buff near the sewer but otherwise do it elsewhere You are ENCOURAGED to have weapons hidden if you're not hunting
3) No Player vs. Player killing or pickpocketing of characters rated less than moderate to you (use examine to see their rating) - Player vs. Player does happen in role play, but this does not give you the right to walk up to somebody and attack. This is a feudal society and you will be hunted down eventually, so don't be an *Bleep* .- Levels from 20-25 then 26-30 then 31-40 are considered equal. -Must OOC warn the person before an attack and take screenshot of Proof that you did follow server rules. Assassination RP may be done outside the level range but requires OOC knowledge by the victim. Please do NOT engage in PvP without consent, multiple times will get you banned. This includes AoE spells that do damage ... raise and apologize if by mistake, however repeatedly doing this will cause you grief.
This included the use of the Sex Wand, which now has the option for consent to be turned on/off.
4) Trespassing is when you enter someone's home somehow without their permission, please exit at their request. I am aware that some RP may be setup to invade a home but not without the residents OOC knowledge.
5) No Huge player/creatures of any kind in the Center.
6) No duplicating, or close spelling of other players toon names and no blank names. No names resembling racial slurs of any sort in the real world. Avoid known character names and political figures. ex. Darth Vader, Jack Bauer, William Clinton etc..
In Kissmet, you may -not- have a title of Lord or Lady unless earned and approved by the Admin or a DM to notify the Admin about the approval. You may RP that you are a Lord or Lady from another land, but shall not have that title in your character name here.
7) No role playing of children under the age of 18.
8) Crafting and customization is a heavy resource utility and it also affects every player that can see you. Please refrain from crafting/ customizing in the Center.
9) Talking about your favorite movie or other things in the real world should be done in whispers or party chat.
10) Follow the direction of DM's. Kissmet is a Social server, roleplay is encouraged not enforced. However, not following the DM's direction may turn you into a cow and will cause a visit from The Keeper...
11) Enjoy your time in Kissmet, that's why we are all here
What do I do if I end up in a conflict with another player ? If you still should happen to end up in an argue with another player, try to remain calm. Most conflicts arises due to misunderstandings between players. But in any case you should take screenshots (default “Print Screen” button) of the entire conversation being made. Try to solve the situation peacefully between you. If agreed upon, take a break from the game and meet at a later time to settle the argue, when you both have had time to calm down and reflect upon things.
If this is not accepted or for any other reason impossible, ask a DM to mediate (provided there one is around). Be prepared that the DM might want to take some time before feeling he/ she is ready to solve the issue, and then respect his/ her decision, even though it may not be fully to –your- favor/ liking.

4. Guilds
There are several guilds and organizations around. Most of the “Public” ones are listed here on the forum. Look around and see if there is anyone you would like to involve your character with, then send an appropriate application to the headmaster of your desired guild. Do bear in mind various guilds may have their own requirements or initiation procedures.
How do I start my own guild ? First of all make sure there isn’t a guild like your idea already. There is often no need to have more of the same kind of guild, for the same type of group or classes.
Requirements would be The Keeper's permission if you wish to build a Guildhall and add it. Also make sure there is a genuine need for such a guild as yours, as well as a genuine interest from a large enough group of players.
-----
Guilds -
Arcane Guild: Guildmaster Dylonia
Order of the Black Hand (Assasins Guild): Guildmaster Mia Goldenbough

5. Crafting, XP Transfers, Releveling, Alinment changes and general character editing
Body manipulation: You may alter the physical appearance of your character at the Management Office in Southport (NE-corner of area).
XP transfers: can be done in the OOC Area with Serette WITHIN your sign in account. (From one account to another need to email suna with the accounts and toon information) A level 7 transfers XP to a level 5 will give you a level a 1 and a level 8 character Note.... We recommended that you first: *make the new character, *sell your home to someone to hold for you, *empty your bank account, *cancel your mail *transfer all your gold and items by placing them into a chest. Red Dragon Disciples need to have a DM transfer XP. (No one may re-level a character with RDD but if you make a new character the XP may be moved. Please transfer any gold, items, bank gold and home ownership before the transfer because removing the xp will -break- the RDD character.) DM's are only allowed to transfer ALL or none of the XP, no partials.
Re level: Go to the Temple District - Unanimus Temple and speak to Garrik Caine. He will give you a second chance but be warned that the first profession you choose will always be apart of you. Red Dragon Disciples, CAN NOT be re leveled. Please do not even ask the DM's to do it.
Alignment Change: Can be done in Colwynn's Gate (c5) Temple of Lights. Red Sparkle Light = shift towards Chaotic Red Light = shift towards Evil Blue Sparkle Light = shift towards Lawful Blue Light = shift towards Good Green Light = shift to True Neutral Note *Do not run through the lights while in party! You will also change their alinements! They will killz you
Item customization: Via the crafting icon on the radial menu you will gain access to Lilistria’s customization system, which will let you alter the appearance of your clothes, weapons and shields. Please do not do this in public. Find a secluded area and make your alterations there. Furthermore there are a few clothing models in various shops in the city, you may make use of them in order to alter clothing, weapon and shield appearance as well.
Item crafting: Kissmet provides a system for crafting your own weapons, armor and shields. General Crafting Information:
The maximum number of different enchantments on any weapon or armor item is 7 total.
The maximum value is 250,000 gold (To easily figure out what the cost of a weapon with said effects on it create the item in the toolset and use the cost calculator there, that is the cost the forge goes by)
If you have already enchanted an item with for instance 1 AC you readjust it to a higher value by putting it in the forge with a 5 AC it will override the 1 AC property. With this in mind you can update old armor if it had lower values as long as it will not put it over 250,000 gold in value.
Putting an item in the forge with two of enchantment items of the same property such as a +2 Wisdom item and a +3 Wisdom items WILL NOT result in it gaining a +5 Wisdom property, it will take the higher of the two (+3 in this instance) and add it and destroy the other enchantment item.
Forges are interchangeable. You can craft weapons in the armor forge and armor in the weapon forge. They both run the same script should one stop working.
Enchantment items are also interchangeable on weapons. You can add properties such as AC and Damage Immunities to Weapon even though they are in the Custom Armor Creation place. You however cannot add damage properties to armor except gloves since they can be used by monks.
AC Types depending on Armor:
Dodge AC - Boots (value is stackable) Deflection AC - Hoods/ helmets, cloaks, belts, gloves and gauntlets, weapons. (not stackable) Shield AC - Shields (not stackable) Natural AC - Amulets/ necklaces, rings (not stackable). Armor AC - Armor/ clothing (not stackable)
Note: Dodge, Natural, Shield, Armor, and Deflection AC all stack with each other, but only Dodge will stack with itself. Two items with +5 Deflection AC will not grant you +10 AC, it will only take the higher of the two in every case except Dodge AC.
Weapon Instructions
1. Select a base weapon from the dwarf (I recommended that you craft the appearance first before proceeding any further.)
2. Now select what enchantment property item(s) you wish to put onto the the base weapon from the lady behind the counter.
3. Place the base weapon and the enchantment property item(s) into the pool located in the one corner and close.
4. All those properties from the enchantment property items placed in the forge will now be on the base weapon.
To check the cost of the weapon simply put the weapon in the forge without enchantment property items and it will display the current cost value of the weapon.
Armor Instructions
1. Select a base armor item from the Eyeball (I recommended that you craft the appearance first before proceeding any further.)
2. Now select what enchantment property item(s) you wish to put onto the the base armor item from the halfling behind the counter.
3. Place the base armor item and the enchantment property item(s) into the forge located along the one wall.
4. All those properties from the enchantment property items placed in the forge will now be on the base armor item.
To check the cost of the armor item simply put the armor item in the forge without enchantment property items and it will display the current cost value of the armor item.
XP and item transferring You may transfer XP, gold and items freely between characters of the same player account, via the XP-transfer character in the OOC welcome area. Instructions on how to do can be found by talking to said NPC.
You may however NOT transfer any XP between different player accounts. If you for any reason need to do this, only Suna is allowed to make such transfers.
Character BIO editing There is now a system for editing your character’s bio as well as your portrait in the New You Parlour. Type !bio and follow the instructions on how to edit your bio, even in colors.
Item renaming You may rename any item at the renaming chest in the Adventurer’s guild, in Southport. Instructions how to do this can be found by talking to the NPC (Madame nom’ de’plume) next to the chest.

6. The Housing System
Kissmet offers the possibility to buy and customize your own house/ apartment. However bear in mind players (regardless of accounts) may only own one house/ apartment. Suna has ways of checking the amount of houses each player owns and there will be bad repercussions for buying more then one.
To check what houses are available visit the Management Office in Southport (NE-corner) and check the Housing Device there. Sometimes going into the individual areas and checking out the houses available is also a good choice since sometimes houses that have opened up aren't displayed through the device.
House Purchasing and Rent Instructions 1. Find an empty house available for purchase.
2. Check what the price of the house is and make sure that amount of gold needed for purchase is available in your character’s bank account.
3. Click on the sign in front of the house and select the purchase option, then setting up a password for others other than the purchaser.
4. Remember that owning a home is a PRIVILEGE for ACTIVE CITIZENS. Being here once a month to pay the tax is NOT ENOUGH to hold the property. Any home where the tax is not paid for 21 days will be repossessed and open to new buyers. Rent needs to be paid weekly Real Life time and you will not be able to enter the house until the rent is paid for that week. To pay the rent simply have the proper amount of gold in the bank and click on the house sign, select the pay back rent option.
5. CUSTOMIZATION: (Not all homes may be customized): Customizations may be done with a limit of 40 total squares of floor space in max 4 areas and 250 placeables (standard). The weekly tax for houses are as follows: Less than 250 placeables = 200,000 250-400 placeables = 750,000 More then 400 placeables = 1,000,000
Customizable houses are: Plaza - Temple - Plaza Terrace - Colwynn's Gate - Suburbs - Fighters District (not apts) – Southport - Eastgate
Ones that are NOT are: El'ruin - Fighters Apartments - Casino - Kastle - Flirting Mermaid Apts
Sorry, no homes allowed in Underdark area
6. DO NOT use any custom made scripts and/ or import any kind of items via the inventories of placeables you have in your custom made house.
Admin checks this as well, and violation of this rule will cause you problems.
Transitions between interior areas should be done by you using unique tag names. EX. ptr01_in for a door inside Plaza Terrace 01
7. If you wish to give up your house simply click the sign and select the sell option.
Submit homes to: [Admin] Lady of the Cats nwnkissmet@firststepinternet.com

7. The teleportation system and use of runes
Kissmet comes with its own custom system for teleportation. The character Bernes Fly Mc’Quick (found in the merchant alley) provides the equipment for magically teleport yourself around the kingdom.
Here is how to do it: Teleporting around the kingdom is done by placing destination runes into your "Bag of magic Transportation" and using your "Doll of Travel" after you did.
There are three type of runes:
- Great Runes (e.g. "The Center", "Southport", "Colwynn's Gate", etc.) - Class Runes (e.g. "Fighter", "Cleric", etc." ) - Miscellaneous Runes (e.g. "Inn/Tavern", "Smithy", etc.)
There are three different possibilities to teleport too.
Either you can teleport to a generic location via the great runes…
Or you can teleport to a specific location via combining runes in the magic bag. For example: ( Town + Fighter or Paladin or Barbarian will teleport you to the Fighter's District) (Town + Monk or Druid or Ranger will teleport you to Suburbs) (Town + Cleric or Mage or Sorcerer will teleport you to Temple District)
You can also teleport to a member of your party by using only the class runes.
That means: If you f.e. place the "Cleric Rune" into your bag and use the magic doll, you are transported to the strongest cleric in your party.
Please - be AWARE, that teleportation is indeed a very powerful form of magic and to make it work the "Doll of Travel" draws from your life energy itself.
The more runes you combine to teleport, the more life energy will be used.
This may even result in your DEATH!

8. Contributing to the server
As per the server admin’s (Suna’s) decision Kissmet is free for everyone to contribute to. However there is a small development team around, currently led by player “CheerRios”, who tries to look into bugs, glitches as well as area development and remakes. It is however ultimately the Admin’s decision what goes into the module, and what isn’t.
With that said, here are some recommendations we’d like to give you before you decide to contribute to Kissmet, though they are not mandatory:
1. Get to know the module, its players, layout, areas, feel and atmosphere first. Maybe there is already an area/ shop in the module that is very similar to what you have in mind for your contribution ?
2. Ask on the forums what the rest of the community would think of it. Perhaps such a contribution has been suggested before, but for some reasons haven’t made it into the module ?
3. Give your idea an extra thought. Do you want to see it inside the module for strictly personal reasons, or is it something the majority of the community would also find useful/ interesting ? Furthermore, imagine one year from now. Will your contribution still be fun or used, or will it risk to end up forgotten ? (Naturally only time can answer this. But just to make you give it all a thought. Does it have the potential to be long term ?)
4. Are you prepared for the experience that sometime in the future (near or far) Suna might allow someone else to make and replace/ alter your contribution ?
5. Can you handle a "no" from the Admin ? Suna told me once, and I quote: "You wouldn't believe how some people react when they realize their ideas won't make it into the module".
6. If you do submit something, remember that it becomes part of the "property" of Kissmet for the Admins/Dev Team to do as they like. Keeping the vision of Kissmet, not everything goes in and not everything goes in where you might like it, but we will try to accomodate your suggestions. (added November 5, 2013)

9. History and Lore
Since Kissmet started out as a social server most of its story are more OOCly based and personal to players, then there is actually any ICly history recorded. Only a rare few areas really have a history attached to them, though this might not count for the entire community of players. Perhaps the most single important lore to keep in mind though is that Kissmet is supposed to have been built by vampires. This is OOC fact, but should be considered merely vague rumors when IC.
Regardless of what you might find out OOCly, make sure not to use it in any form of metagaming when you roleplay.
Banner in OOC Welcome area: Kissmet Storyline -- short version
Kinky Kingdom - Kissmet in terms of the D&D game is a pocket plane. Comprised of several terrain types compacted into an overall small world.
Created by ancient vampire clans to build an army and return to the Prime material for conquest. Over time the vampires fell to bickering, split into smaller clans that have since been drawn back together.
The plane has since been discovered by other races bent on conquest.
Planar gates allow entry from several other planes small and large. The Mists and Abbadon being the best known. The ancient palace where the slaad attempt entry is another and even the Underdark with a few Mind Flayers may have a hidden portal.
The Kingdom, then infested by humanoid races, forced the vampires into hiding although still in powerful positions within the realm. Once the humanoid races became numerous, they turned on removing the lesser races such as Goblins, Orcs, Lycan, and Gnolls etc. who in turn began to war on Kissmet city.
The undead Lord Fael wants to return to the surface and rule, sending a few zombies as lookouts into the city sewers. A few lesser vampires kill citizens foolish enough to enter a part of the sewers and send the resulting bodies off to join the Army of Darkness. Those that pass will find the trick/trap that may add them to the undead army as well. There is a coven of women vampires upset with the patriarchal rule of Fael hidden, plotting for themselves. Other splinters of the past include Castle Gray and the far western crypts. (note: the entry from Southport is a one-way passage intended to allow higher levels access to the stronger levels of undead without interfering with mid-levels access to the easier levels)
The Orcs have infested part of the city sewers for surveillance toward a future attack from their fort.
The goblins have enlisted a couple dragons to help with their plans, although, the dragons are content to be worshiped.
The Illithids have two points of entry, one in the city sewers through some broken caverns from the underdark with enslaved driders and the other in the deep forest to the city's east where they are transforming simple creatures into fearsome monsters.
There are many places where the critters seem to have no reason for being but get over it... it's all fantasy !!

10. Time progression vs. Real life time
1 day = 2 hours 2 days = 4 hours 3 days = 6 hours 4 days = 8 hours 5 days = 10 hours 6 days = 12 hours 7 days = 14 hours ------------------------- 12 days = 1 day real life 24 hours ------------------------- 14 days (2 weeks) = 1 day n 4 hours 21 days (3 weeks) = 1 day n 18 hours ------------------------- 28 days (1 month) = 2 days n 8 hours 35 days (5 weeks) = 2 days n 22 hours ------------------------- 56 days (2 months) = 4 days n 16 hours ------------------------- 84 days (3 months) = 7 days n 6 hours ------------------------- 168 days (6 months) = 14 days n 12 hours ------------------------- 252 days (9 months) = 22 days n 2 hours ------------------------- 364 days (1 year) = 29 days n 16 hours

11. Where to start
NOTE: New characters will be booted on creation. Don't panic, just log back in and your new character will be in your folder.
Once you have logged in to Kissmet, you will end up in the OOC welcome. Take the time to read the signs. Follow the yellow arrows to the New You Parlour to change your appearance. Follow the red arrows into the portal into Southport. Quite close to you is the Immigration Office. Enter it and talk to the receptionist. She will, if you answer her questions correctly, give you a simple quest in order to get the layout of the city and earn some gold and XP. Fido sells gear good for training against rats in the Western Slums. Five Sails Trading Company also has starting gear (and they only have daylight hours to buy!)
From there on, roleplay and/ or socialize your way through your new life in Kissmet city and the Kinky Kingdom. Welcome !

12. How to Quick Connect
1) Find nwnmain.exe 2) Right click on that to make a shortcut to your desktop 3) Rename that shortcut to Kissmet 4) Under the Shortcut Tab, in Target, type out the command:
C:\NeverwinterNights\nwmain.exe +connect 209.170.160.112:5121
Unless your NWN is under a different drive or maybe the name of the directory is different, you'll have to change that, but the rest of it will give you the quick connect and bypasses bioware.
\nwmain.exe +connect 209.170.160.112:5121
